When I first heard Girisha Andrea describe herself as an orgasm coach and grief specialist, I was intrigued. After talking with her? I was absolutely floored.
Girisha is a Certified Sex, Love & Relationship Coach who has spent the last 20+ years learning over 100 different healing methods from around the world. She’s the creator of the EMPRESS-O Method—a body-mind-emotion-soul-spirit approach that helps people recover from trauma, reconnect with their pleasure, and reclaim their lives.
But what really sets Girisha apart is her lived experience. She grew up in an abusive household in Hungary, spent years disconnected from her body, overachieving and surviving—but not living. Until one day… she couldn’t ignore the numbness anymore.
In this episode of Love and Trauma: The Real Deal, we dive into everything from sexual trauma and nervous system regulation to the grief-intimacy connection and the real meaning of an “orgasmic life.” (Spoiler: It’s not about swinging from chandeliers.)
We also talk about the emotional pain men carry—and why they’re often left without safe places to express it.
This episode is raw, beautiful, and a little hilarious—because healing should be human, not heavy all the time.
The Real Deal: My 3 Biggest Takeaways from Girisha Andrea
🧠 1. You can’t think your way out of trauma—healing starts in the body.
You can read all the books, go to therapy, and understand your triggers perfectly—but if your body doesn’t feel safe, none of it sticks. Girisha reminded me that healing has to be embodied. Stillness, breath, gentle rituals… that’s where reconnection begins.
💔 2. There is no “normal” when it comes to sex and intimacy.
So many women think they’re broken because they’re numb, disconnected, or can’t just “relax and enjoy it.” But it’s not your fault. It’s your nervous system doing exactly what it was designed to do—protect you. There is nothing wrong with you.
💬 3. Men need healing too—and we need to give them a place to do it.
Girisha’s work with men was eye-opening. While women often suffer out loud, men suffer in silence. They carry deep shame and trauma, but are rarely given the tools—or the permission—to feel. Healing is not just for women. It’s for everyone.
