My story...
Back in winter 2015, my marriage was at its lowest point. With my toddler in the back seat, I was on my way to my parents' house, ready to leave for good. It was then, facing the loss of everything, that my husband finally revealed the childhood abuse he’d suffered at the hands of the church.
Initially, I felt a bit lied to, but I also had a glimmer of hope—maybe this was the root of the issues that had plagued us for so long. If we worked hard, maybe we could overcome it.
But I had no idea what I was in for. After countless hours of searching for support and pulling my hair out in frustration, I realized there were hardly any resources for partners like me.
I'll never forget when I finally surrendered to the fact that I needed help too. I threw myself into learning about how trauma affects relationships. It wasn't easy, but eventually, I started to see real change in myself and in our marriage.
My husband and I have now been married 14 years, and we are HAPPY!
Let’s be real: there are no magic pills or secret sauces that will instantly solve everything.
But what I can offer you are tools—real, meaningful tools—designed for the long haul. Support that prepares you to face the challenges head-on, together, and come out stronger on the other side.
